One of my many ambitions is
to go work for the
VPRO.
the only reason to have a TV in
you home nowadays.
My other ambitions is to raise a
sounsystem
in the future and give free tekno
partys.
Marit is the name of my girlfriend
she is 21 and studys for historian
on the university of Rotterdam
think she is the best what ever
happend
to me altough I sometimes miss
the lifestyle I had before she
came in my life :-)
Will soon put a pic of her here.
And someday she is gonna write my
autobiography
when I am dead and famous. Will
come here to then :-]
So what is my opinion about music?
Music can bring people together
and bring
those people in bizarre emotional
states (drugs to).
Very beautifull things can come
out of that.
I have little respect for depthless
easy listening top40. That's my
opinion.
I respect other peoples opinions
also I just want to
say fuck you to all the big commercial
record
companys that soon are gonna go
bankrupt
by internet: Fuck you! Music should
be
for all! And should have a meaning.
Bring people together for example.
The invention and evolution of the
computer
has made it possible to make independent
"low budget" (electronic) music and other forms of art.
Now more dictatorship!
Everybody now can be into it and
part of it
thats how art is ment to be if
you ask me.
Music culture should representate
certain things. It is a reflection
of society.
Not making music that is just made
for
the top40. For the big unaware
mass.
Untill 6 months ago I went to clubs
when
I wanted to party. Mainly Nighttown
Basement
and de Vlerk.
That was before I discovered the
underground
tekno scene. Now I know where I
belong :-]
The music, the atmosphere at those
partys,
the conversations I have with people,
the beauty of the bizarre locations.
The ideology behind those free underground
partys
is so great. To bring people together
in the presence
of a beautifull atmosphere with
great people
and electronic music and watch
what comes out
of that. And not to ruin it by
making profit on it.
I now can truly say I am proud of
my generation. With its expirimenting
on electronic
music and drugs. There still is
a scene
that has not been made a slave
of bad intentions
and rules and laws.
The scene can be just like the music
anything you
want it to be... For me I can get
either
a genius or get crazy in
it.
Every road has to be taken in art
and music.
Every generation has that task.
And we are trying
to do this in the best way we can.
Other generations will follow.
Will "forget" all the wisdom people
have
found before them and rediscover
it on their
own way in their own world with
there own art.
This process has only started a
few
generations / subcultures
before us think of: the hippys,
punk and much more.
I really wonder how historians in
the future are
gonna judge that never ending process.
now it is our turn.. house music
and the many
many styles that evolved from it
have marked
these last years from this millenium
for ever.
Computers and internet have the
potential
to make some pretty big changes.
Low budget art where everybody
can participate in!
An underground network of
people through
internet. Revolution! :-]
Time will know.
My opinion on drugs:
I like dutch drugs policy. I can
only hope that
that policy will become the official
law soon.
here and in other countrys.
We have a so called soft drugs policy.
Thats drugs with an acceptable
risk.
you can buy those drugs in coffeeshops
and smart drugs stores if you are
over 18.
Some softdrugs: Cannabis products,
Psychedelic Mushrooms, Herbal XTC,
The intention is to keep people
away from
hard drugs by seperating the two.
It works half I think. But it's
much better
then pushing it all away. Cause
it can't be pushed
away... Only thing what will happend
is that a country
will lose control of quality, prices,
sorts of drugs,
common knowledge and users.
But the experiments with your mind,
emotions and body that some people
choose for should never been banned.
I believe in drug use, as long as
the people
who use drugs keep thinking and
have there
own personal rulez for using drugs
the chance
is small something happends.
Ofcourse not all people can do that
and
"accidents" always happend, especially
with
hard drugs. So please be carefull
don't take
risks, don't break your own rules.
One last thing: Alcohol is hard
drugs.
and an accepted one in almost every
country
in the world!
